Keep Those Photographic Memories Alive

We all have favourite photographs which have a special meaning. However, old photos can become sun-bleached, scratched or creased, with this damage obscuring the original subject or becoming a distraction from the main focus of the picture.

With modern digital imaging techniques, it is remarkable how much of this damage can be eliminated in order to restore the original photograph. In many cases, it can be possible to pull out detail which is almost invisible on the original.

Further processing of the digital images can transform them in other ways. It is possible to add colour to a Black and White photograph in order to add more realism to the image. Another option is to ‘remove’ unwanted objects from an image.

If your kids are anything like mine, it is impossible to get them both smiling at the same time in a single photograph. However, maybe you have a decent picture of each of them that you’d like to combine into a single image.
